In April 2013, Guangdong Health Products Chamber of Commerce held the founding conference and invited a number of leaders from Guangdong Food and Drug Administration and Guangdong Health Department to attend. 

In May 2013, the  chamber of commerce attended for many times the theme meetings held by Guangdong Food and Drug Administration and gave full cooperation in special campaigns for cracking down the “four illegal acts (illegal production, operation, addition and publicity” of heath food.
In August 2013, the chamber of commerce actively responded to the call of Guangdong Food and Drug Administration and organized a vast number of enterprises to enter the first domestic heath food e-commerce platform.

During the period from December 2013 to 2014, the chamber of commerce united 347 health food enterprises to submit the “Letter of Comments of the Health Food Enterprises on the Food Safety Law of the People‘s Republic of China” to the Legislative Affairs Office of the State Council and other competent departments and succeeded in retaining the legal status of health food in the Food Safety Law.
In April 2015, Guangdong Food and Drug Administration courteously met the representatives of the chamber of commerce and exchanged views on foreign health food supervision, import and domestic health food admittance policies.

In July 2015, the chamber of commerce was invited to attend the research conference held by China Food and Drug Administration and offered advice and suggestions for revising the “Measures for the Administration of the Registration and Recordation of Health Food”.
In November 2015, the chamber of commerce was elected as a vice president unit of “China Nutrition and Health Food Association”.

In November 2015, concerning the Announcement of the State Food and Drug Administration on the Nomenclature of the Restricted Functions of Heath Food, the chamber of commerce submitted the feedback documents supported by 100 enterprises nationwide and the relevant opinions of authoritative legal experts to the head of the State Food and Drug Administration. This attracted the attention of the leaders and won the legal rights and interests for the industry.
In April 2016, the State Food and Drug Administration held a seminar on the health food management. The chamber of commerce was invited to attend. After the seminar, the chamber of commerce submitted a written document of “Thinking on the Relevant Problems Concerning Health Food Management and Suggestions” which provided new ideas and ways for the leaders to distinguish the regulatory boundary between health food and drugs.

In May 2016, the chamber of commerce held a discussion meeting for finalizing the health food function evaluation schemes. After the meeting, the chamber of commerce submitted five revised function evaluation schemes (including enhancing immunity, helping to decrease blood glucose and blood fat, improving gastric mucosal lesion, and relieving physical fatigue functions) to the State Food and Drug Administration to provide reference suggestions for the experts for revising the health food evaluation schemes.
In July 2016, the chamber of commerce undertook the task of “Study on Implementation Guidelines for Establishing Health Food Production Quality Management System” entrusted by Guangdong Food and Drug Administration”. The chamber of commerce set up the task group and invited the leaders from Guangdong Food and Drug Administration to attend the task kick-off meeting. 

In September 2016, the chamber of commerce was invited by the State Food and Drug Administration to attend the “Health Food Industry Organization Seminar” and exchanged views on health food “rectification and reform”, health food registration and recordation and other issues with the leaders of the State Food and Drug Administration and peers.
